We run one-day, week and long weekend pottery courses, either non-residential or residential using our fabulous B&B accommodation for those who wish to visit this stunning area which combines beautiful local beaches with the splendid New Forest National Park. The courses are focused on throwing techniques and, as there are only six places per course and six wheels, it doesn't matter how much or how little potting experience you have as Dave has plenty of time to tutor each individual. The longer courses end with a raku firing day. |

Nina teaches many techniques including throwing, handbuilding, slipcasting and mould making. No experience is needed for her pottery workshops and beginners are particularly welcome. Even newcomers to pottery will be able to throw a recognisable piece within a weekend, make slab pieces, tiles or sculpture, etc. Working in small groups in Nina's well-equipped studio allows plenty of time for one to one tuition, participants being able to work at their own speed. |

Caroline Fawkes is offering courses in handbuilding with Raku firings in her studio in rural southern France, close to the Pont du Gard with rail and low-cost air links from Nîmes and Avignon. Excellent food and interesting excursions. The emphasis is on supporting you to explore your own ceramic projects, whether pottery or sculpture. Groups are small (3-6), so the courses are well adapted to beginners. For those with more experience there is also the option to explore alternative techniques such as naked raku or smoke-firing. |
