In my Fused Glass Classes you will be shown how to heat glass to extreme temperatures forcing it to melt and mould the layers together. This process means that each item is different and unique. You will learn how to cut and make items of jewellery and glass art, such as pendants, earrings, coasters and light catchers. This is a fun day out and, with a maximum of 4 students, you can be sure of plenty of individual attention in a friendly atmosphere. A light lunch is provided and taken in the delightful garden during the summer. |

Learn the ancient craft of glass bead making in this modern studio on the edge of the Peak District, just north of Sheffield. Sabine Little is an experienced lampworker and qualified teacher. During an introductory day, you can expect to make between 10-20 beads in a variety of designs, covering techniques such as pulling glass rod into thinner stringer and applying it, learning to use heat and gravity, and have time to start developing your own ideas. Sabine specialises in sculptural lampwork, and advanced tuition is available. |
