I am a textile artist and author of two books with a third due out soon. I have been teaching experimental textiles for the past 12 years and my speciality is creating three-dimensional textile forms and surface decoration. As students we were encouraged to experiment with our materials and find out what we could do with them before we started to design our finished pieces. Great importance was placed on sketchbooks and careful observation was compulsory. This has become the foundation for the way I teach. On one of my courses, which vary between one and five days in length, you will be encouraged and guided to discover the full extent of your creativity. |
